She is an Indigenous Literacy Day Ambassador and a proud member of the Wiradjuri nation of central New South Wales. Tonight she talks about her latest publication, her memoir, Am I Black Enough For You? and the theme of identity in Australia.

Bill Gammage talks on the Australian landscape and his recent book, The Biggest Estate on Earth: How Aborigines Made Australia (2011), which won the 2012 Prime Minister’s Literary Awards Prize for Australian History. Gammage is a historian and adjunct professor in the Humanities Research Centre at the Australian National University.

Glenn McGrath, former Australian cricketer, in conversation with Richard Glover

Glenn McGrath talks on Australia’s sporting culture with Richard Glover, 702 ABC Sydney presenter. Glenn McGrath made his cricket Test debut for Australia in 1993 and holds the world record for the highest number of Test wickets taken by a fast bowler. He announced his retirement from the sport in 2006. McGrath established the McGrath Foundation in 2002 to fund more breast care nurses in rural Australia and to educate woman regarding breast cancer. He was made a Member of the Order of Australia in 2008 for ‘service to cricket as a player’ and ‘service to the community through the establishment of the McGrath Foundation’. During 2012 he has been travelling all over Australia as an ambassador for the Australian Year of the Farmer.
