    • From classical China to the Australian bush: Chinese painting

      Lecture / symposium

Join Dr Richard Wu on an artistic and historical journey of the three most revered paintings in Chinese history. Tales of the Qing Ming river scene, Huang Gong Wang’s Fu Chun mountain dwelling and Han Xi Zai’s Night banquet are full of fascinating intrigue and political turmoil. Chinese Australian artist Andrew Lo follows with a demonstration of ink painting to depict native bush. His contemporary approach to a deeply Australian subject makes the link between the traditions of China and issues for today’s Australia. Presented by the Australian Chinese Painting Society.
