Works of art made with modern acrylic paints can present difficult technical problems if a cleaning treatment is necessary. Join us for a lecture outlining the latest research into the conservation cleaning of acrylic painted surfaces. Presented by visiting international experts in the field, this lecture is open to all art conservation professionals and interested members of the public.
Tom Learner is senior scientist and head of modern and contemporary art research at the Getty Conservation Institute (GCI) in Los Angeles.
Bronwyn Ormsby is senior conservation scientist at the Tate, London, specialising in the scientific analysis of works of art and the evaluation of conservation treatments on modern and contemporary art, with an emphasis on acrylic emulsion paints.
Chris Stavroudis is a private paintings conservator in Los Angeles and the developer of the Modular Cleaning Program.
