Day tour: Scenic World
Sculptures in the Blue Mountains
The dramatic Blue Mountains Jurassic landscape will showcase 38 exclusive artworks of dynamic artistic exploration for the 2014 Sculpture at Scenic World.
Members of the Art Gallery Society of NSW will travel down by cableway for a private guided tour by curator Lizzy Marshall. Walk along the Jamison Valley floor and directly below the Three Sisters.
On returning, view the Sculpture Otherwise, a collection of indoor works, before heading to lunch in beautiful Leura.
To finish the day, we then head to Blackheath for a studio visit of glass artist Keith Rowe, where guests will be able to view the artist at work. Arrive back in Sydney around 6.30pm.
Considerable walking and stairs are involved, and suitable footwear is essential.
