Picasso and Georges Braque invented collage in 1912, which opened up a whole new set of possibilities for artists and the use of materials in art. The term collage was coined by the two artists and comes from the French word ‘coller’, which means ‘to glue’.
Drop in to an art making workshop at the Gallery and make your own collage inspired by Picasso’s work.
