The new world: Central and South America
With Chris Carter
Explore the flourishing cultures of the Aztec, Maya and Inca – ancient Central and South American civilisations shrouded in myth – with archaeologist Chris Carter. Unravel the past through an archaeological overview of the complex and diverse history of these regions. Chris introduces this 'new world’, along with its lesser known cultures, through its art, archaeology and architecture.
Working full-time as an archaeologist since 1996, Chris divides his time between teaching, commercial archaeology, research in northern Chile and leading study tours worldwide. In 2014, he will lead tours to Mexico and to Chile and Peru for the Art Gallery Society of NSW.
