About
This shawl reflects the influence of factory produced European textiles on the Indonesian market and on traditional practices of textile production. The banded design of this shawl features pattern of fish, animals and figures apparently on horseback incorporated amongst other abstract motifs. It has an unusual blue-green with yellow patterning that has been cut and re-sewn and finished along the ends with red piped edging.
