- Further information
Most of Albert Tucker's drawings are closely linked to paintings and it is partly because of this relationship that they are made using the most painterly of media - watercolour, gouache and pastel. Tucker's grim vision of city life in Australia during the Second World War is forcefully expressed in this vigorous and expressive work.
