- Further information
Yamaguchi was born in Fukuoka, educated at the Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music, and now lives in Tokyo.
The encounter of his title refers to the image created from his encounter with paper. The Japanese title for the work, 'Engi-Taiga', where 'engi' means legend and 'taiga', large river, has a more evocative resonance.
