Autumn

Wang Mingyue, an artist from Sichuan, is a graduate from Zhong Qing Teachers University. He has been an active artist for a long time, as well as an art critic, and has been involved in cooperative works. He is currently deputy secretary of the Sichuan Province Artists Association, a researcher and a member of the Chinese Artists Association, as well as the Chinese Graphic Artists Association.
His graphic arts have been exhibited in a great many Sichuan national art exhibitions. In addition, he has obtained a great many awards. Moreover, more than 10 times his works have been exhibited in America, England, Japan, France, Canada, Poland and Norway in all more than 10 countries and regions. A portion of his works are in the collection of the China Art Gallery. A great many more of Wang Mingyue‘s works has appeared in provincial journals and national publications.
Many of his expressive graphic works have a strong local flavour, the lines are refreshing, and the colours bright. A special characteristic of his prints is the allusion to pen and ink, and aside from printmaking, he also frequently paints in the medium of Chinese ink. Most of his works take the natural scenery of Sichuan Province as their subject. His style is not limited to that of the Chinese painting tradition, for he also utilizes Western pictorial devices and techniques.
