Martin King was born in Melbourne and studied at Caulfield Institute of Technology 1976-78 and Sydney College of the Arts in 1982. He has worked as a printer at the Australian Print Workshop, Melbourne since 1989. He has lectured in printmaking around the country including at Sydney College of the Arts, the Canberra School of Art and the Victorian College of the Arts. He has lived and worked in France, Spain and Central Australia. 'Bataille' was printed by the artist at the Australian Print Workshop, Melbourne.
