Vienna porcelain
(Austria 1744–1864)
Snuff box

- 15th–19th c European art
- Further information
The attribution of this box remains uncertain, but monochrome black landscapes with polychrome figures are unusual and can be found on other Vienna examples. The detailed scene on the inside of the lid is different in character to the more generic landscapes on the outer faces, suggesting that it may represent a specific location.
