Guided tours at the Gallery
Tours of the collection and exhibitions
You can choose from a range of free one-hour public tours, led by our trained volunteer guides. There’s no need to book. Just meet at the information desk near the Gallery entrance.
Tours for Tots
Hear stories, play games and make your own art on an adventure tour through the Gallery’s collection for 3–5 year olds (accompanied by an adult). Tours for Tots are held on one Tuesday every month, with a different theme each time. Limited numbers so bookings essential. $15 per child. See Tours for Tots.
Tours for student groups
Special tours are available for booked education groups. See Education.
Personal tours
Personal tours for private groups can be booked two weeks in advance. Charges apply. See Personal tours.
Access program tours
Free Auslan interpreters are available for groups who are deaf. Free touch tours and audio-described tours are available for people who are blind or vision impaired. Free guided tours of the permanent displays are available for groups with intellectual disabilities. Bookings must be made two weeks in advance. See Access programs.
