HSC study days

For Year 11 students from Low Socio-economic Status (Low SES) School Communities and schools from the following NSW regions:

  • Western Sydney
  • South Western Sydney
  • Hunter/Central Coast
  • Illawarra and South East

This full-day program focuses on both components of the Visual Arts written examination, specifically addressing and investigating questions from the 2013 HSC paper.

The day will also familiarise teachers and students with the Gallery’s collection as a valuable resource for the Stage 6 syllabus.

Approaches to Section 1 and 2 of the HSC Visual Arts 2012 Written Paper

Approaches to Section 2 of the HSC Visual Arts 2013 Written Paper
Teacher-lecturers from the Gallery will discuss Section 2 questions using examples from the Gallery’s collection. Students will move through the Gallery spaces exploring a range of periods, styles and media.

Writing session
Exercises and activities designed to support students in their approach to the written exam.
