The artists of Papunya Tula, who revolutionised Australian art, are renowned for their paintings on board and canvas. They have also produced a small number of works on paper over the past 40 years, which are highlighted in this exhibition.

The Gallery is fortunate to hold 11 of the earliest works produced during Geoffrey Bardon’s time at Papunya in 1971. These exquisite works in pencil and watercolour on paper are displayed alongside a print portfolio produced by Papunya Tula Artists in 2009. The landmark portfolio includes works by the company’s most senior artists alongside emerging artists, many of whom are children of the company’s founding artists.
