Access programs
Art Adventure Tours for Years K–6 mentioned above are also available with a registered Auslan interpreter for deaf and hearing impaired students.
Students in Years K-12 with an intellectual disability can join our Starting with Art tour and workshop, including one titled A walk in the bush.
Education materials
Our kids audio tour includes works from our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander collection, among others. Check the ‘more information’ links from each of the works to see if it is currently on display. Students and teachers can download files onto their own MP3 players or listen online.
From the Gallery Shop
A series of A4, loose-leaf education kits on various aspects of the Gallery’s collection can be bought from the Gallery Shop, including Country, culture, community. These are highly useful resources, even when all the works featured are not on display.
A new kit in the series will be available in early 2013, exploring the idea of home through the works of Aboriginal artists who belong to nations and language groups that today fall within the area defined as New South Wales.
