William Pidgeon Mr Ray Walker

William Pidgeon’s Archibald Prize-winning painting of Ray Walker was commissioned by the Sydney Journalists’ Club for a series of portraits of its presidents. Pidgeon was a well-known cartoonist and illustrator whose work appeared in the Bulletin, among other publications, under the name ‘WEP’. He was also art critic for the Daily Telegraph.
