Information on works you own

The Gallery provides a free information service to members of the public.

Visit the library to do research

If you want to find out more about an artwork you own, the qualified researchers in our library and archive can help.

To help you find out who created it, when it was made or who owned it before you, they can locate texts on relevant art historical periods or styles, auction records for similar works and, depending on the artist, catalogue raisonnés. If further information or curatorial opinion is required, they may refer the enquiry on to the relevant curatorial staff.
