Paperback – 148 pages

Add to cart +Alfred Stieglitz was a towering an immensely influential figure in the history of 20th century photogaphy. His achievement was recognised in this part of the world from the early 1900s onwards, yet very little of his work has ever been seen in Australia. Alfred Stieglitz: the Lake George yeras rectifies this. The exhibition concentrates on the second half of Stieglitz life ( the 1910s to 1930s); his relationship with Georgia O'Keeffe and his photographs and the crystallising of making images which become the equivalents of life experience; and the extraordinary photographs of people and things taken at Lake George in upstate New York where Stieglitz spent nearly every summer.
