Nathan El Azzi The sleep of reason
My study of art history and various artists inspired me to develop a humorous perspective on the dreary aspects of art theory in a parody of the nightmare of HSC studies. My love of art and passion for filmmaking led me to the form of my body of work, and the subject matter came from being able to identify with the character in Goya’s The sleep of reason produces monsters. I filmed against a green screen, and composited in the artworks which were animated digitally, incorporating the music using editing programs such as Photoshop and Premiere.
