It takes its cues from the art and artists in the Art Gallery of NSW's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art collection. Country is more than just land. Country is the intrinsic link between culture, land, sea and family. Country is all encompassing and can play a vital role in informing a sense of self. Art can reveal a deep connection to Country, embody cultural inheritance and celebrate the innate connection an artist has to a particular location.
