An Evening in Three Parts
Act 1: Look, listen & learn
View current Gallery exhibition Here we are, which features notable new Gallery acquisitions by women artists. The viewing will be followed by an in conversation with the curator Lisa Catt and featured artist Deborah Kelly along with a cocktail pairing.
Act 2: Play the art
A re-imagining of Shakespearian proportions, a troupe of 'actors’ attempt to earnestly and experimentally present Hamlet with superfluous results – threatening not only their careers but the Western Canon itself. Nominated for the 2018 Philip Parson’s award.
Trigger warnings: R18+ Course Language. Themes of sexual assault, suicide, self-harm, images of nudity.
Act 3: God Queen
Be entranced by the soulful sounds of Alphamama accompanied by the Des Fleurs dance crew. Alphamama has been an influential player in the RnB/Soul and hip-hop scene, collaborating with and supporting some of the industry’s finest from Salt-N-Pepa, Thundamentals, NGAIIRE and Jessica Mauboy.
