Intensely Dutch: image, abstraction and the word, post-war and beyond presented 50 years of modern Dutch art and included 15 of the most important Dutch artists of the period.

Wim Pijbes, director of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, visited the AGNSW to officially open the exhibition. Here he discusses the artists on display and the emergence of the CoBrA movement.
