About
A fine matched set of hair comb and pin of gold 'kinji' ground with 'takamakie' decoration of heron and crow in flight executed in rich black 'roiro' and fine silver lacquer. This is an unusual decoration for hair combs and recalls the design of the Rinpa School.
Asian Art Department, AGNSW, April 2009.
