    Zhu is a famous woman artist in China, respected as one of the pioneers who established the new field of scenic woodcuts. She graduated from the Graphic Department of the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts in 1958. Her prints are nationalistic, realized with the Jiangsu technique of water block printing.
