    “This work on paper was made in a way that differs from my usual approach to creating a painting, in that the composition was constructed in layers during the creation of the work rather than premeditated digitally. There are three images in this work, the bottom layer of abstract highly saturated washes, over that a central still life silhouette in dark tones and finally the graphic line work is layered on top. The intention was to explore the possibility of creating new imagery through a process of layering and sampling disparate source material.” Dane Lovett, 2014
