About
This Khmer weft ikat textile is less finely worked and intricate than 'Ceremonial cloth 'sampot rbauk'' (Acc.no. 230.2003), however it is interesting for its clever all-over diamond and swastika design. The end borders are decorated with a pattern of alternating 'yantra' and bird in a design reminiscent of Indian textile patterns.
