Censor’s Badge ('xiezhi')

The censor’s badge depicts a 'xiezhi' - a mythical lion-like creature with spiky back and horn. Censors revealed corruption, monitored conduct and maintained order within the official classes. Censor’s were a group separate to the other officials.
