About
This beautifully carved shield features zigzagging concentric designs that cover the entireity of the distinct three dimensional form. This style is distinct from the parrying shield and broad shields most commonly associated with the Aboriginal groups of New South Wales and is perhaps related to Aboriginal people connected to the Broken Hill area of New South Wales, or those across the border in South Australia, or even the interaction between people from these areas.
