  • About

Flat top mountains by Margaret Preston is from a group of monotypes made by Preston around the time she took a six-month tour of Queensland, Northern Territory and Western Australia and Central Australia with the expressed aim of discovering Indigenous art, and rock painting and carving sites. Preston incorporated visual elements of Indigenous work she saw in the monotypes and stencil prints of identifiable landscapes she made following the trip.
