About
"The minimalist thing – you were affected by minimalism because you were hammered by it all over the place, everywhere at that time. Even Fred Williams was affected. Because I was younger and aware, I still wanted to retain my own mark – but became more minimal, hopefully, trying to retain the monumental sculptural forms I was trying to create … it was a time of swimming against a very strong tide and ending up sideways."
