The story of the Creation of Eve is told in Genesis, the first book of the Old Testament. God created Eve, the first woman, from one of the ribs of the first man, Adam, to be his companion. Adam and Eve lived peacefully in the Garden of Eden until Eve tempted Adam to eat the forbidden fruit of the Tree of Knowledge. As a consequence, God expelled both for their disobedience. The story of the creation of Eve is consistent with Gleeson's abiding interest in the transformation of forms.
