About
Christian and Napier Waller's involvement in stained glass was connected to their interest in William Morris and the English Arts and Crafts movement. They travelled to London in 1929 to study its manufacture with Veronica Whall, a leading modern stained glass artist and successor to William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones in the technique. From the time of her return to Australia until the early 1950s, Christian went on to produce some sixty-five stained glass panels, an unusual and remarkable achievement for a woman at that time.
