About
Born in 1956 in Sydney, Wally Barda is an artist and architect who has exhibited with Watters Gallery since 1979. He was awarded the Power Studio, Cite Internationale des Arts, residency in Paris in 1983. Barda’s practice encompasses painting, watercolour and collage.
Barda developed a love of plants from a young age through his father’s market garden business, and depictions of plants and nature populate his energetic paintings that capture the natural world through dynamic compositions, vivid colour and expressive use of line. His watercolours are particularly sensitive and evocative.
