About
This video was recorded in part during a performance at the artists studio then finished off at the AGNSW. The first section consisted of a series of face sewing performances that created a somewhat cubist distortion and included a model of Madame Matisse's hat. The second half was shot at the Gallery immediately after the performances with the artist in uniform again in the same position as in ‘Major/ Minor' however on this occasion he was reading a text backwards in a sharp stoccato voice. The texts were taken from an RSL publication and reflected jingoistic and sometimes racist sentiments.
