- Further information
Kasose, the title of this work, is both the name of a place in northern Japan, and the point where the wind meets the rapids. The artist Hayashi has done a series of works on the theme of the wind, all large etchings produced using six plates as well as several different cut-out pieces of Japanese 'washi' paper.
Born in Gifu, and now resident in Saitama, Hayashi completed graduate school at the Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music in 1987.
