  • About

Rosalind Atkins was born at Terang, Victoria and studied under Tate Adams at RMIT between 1978 and 1983. Adams introduced Atkins to wood engraving, and since then she has worked almost exclusively in the medium. She has exhibited in group and solo exhibitions since 1981, and has had a close association with Brindabella Press with books and broadsheets. She is a member of the Society of Wood Engravers (England) and currently works at the Australian Print Workshop, Melbourne.

This print depicts a hill near Bright in north eastern Victoria, an area where the landscape has evolved due to agriculture. Much of Atkins current work deals with the structure and vegetation of the landscape.
