  • About

Shaun Edwards was born in Mareeba in 1975 and grew up in Cairns. He studied visual arts at Cairns TAFE and in recent years has developed his distinctive style of drawing. In addition to his art career he is also heavily involved in Indigenous health, conservation and leadership.

Shaun Edwards was given the bush name – Kalk - by his great grandfather, Kenny Jimmy. Kalk is the Kokoberra word for freshwater fishing spear.

Edwards has been exhibiting since 1995 and has undertaken numerous commissions. These works are drawn from his recent exhibition with his sister Lisa Michl.
