Young unmarried women wear such jackets with tapis skirts. These clothes are their festival clothes, and women used to weave them in preparation for their weddings. This jacket is decorated with running stitch embroidery and mirrors on the front, and supplementary weft weaving on the back. Both sides are embellished with shaped cowrie shells. The jacket is lined with plain cotton.
