  • About

Joe Tilson was one of the leading figures of British Pop art. His work of the 1960s and 1970s is political in content and embraced the advancements in screenprinting techniques that developed in the 1960s. In his complex and innovative portfolio 'A-Z box ... fragments of an oneiric alphabet ...' Tilson pushed the boundaries of how a print should look - some are collaged, the majority are printed on both sides, and some are printed on double-sized folded sheets which involve viewers in active exploration and discovery.
