  • About

The carved decoration painted with an iron-oxide glaze against a cream background is a distinctly Vietnamese type. Wood ash glaze was applied first and then the design was created by scraping away the glaze while still viscous and applying iron-oxide glaze. Typically the cream coloured glaze is finely crackled and flaking. The lid is not the original one for this jar.
