About
Gilbert Bayes notes that he has finished the small plaster model of 'The Offerings of Peace' and that he will send this to Sydney in the hope that the trustees will approve the commission and that 'the work may go through'. He notes that he has always been interested in the horse in sculpture and that this commission, along with 'The Offerings of War' 'would give me great scope'. He has also notes that he is very pleased that the Gallery has acquire his sculpture 'The sea king's daughters'.
