About
During an extended visit to Australia in 1926, Bertram Mackennal was commissioned to produce a statue of Cardinal Moran for St Mary's Cathedral, Sydney. Mackennal completed and cast the statue in the United Kingdom and it was shipped out to Australia.
The statue was unveiled by Cardinal Cerretti, the Papal legate, in 1928.
