  • About

Although nothing is known about his training as an artist, Waterloo was a renowned etcher in his time. He produced 136 landscape etchings, making him on of the most prolific etchers in the 17th century. His humble, unassuming views are in keeping with the aims of Dutch landscape art, and they were often used as models for other printmakers, as well as painters.
