Further information

"This is the key painting in a series concerned with human experience. The order within the painting is directed by laws which seem to me to be synonymous to life and art. These provide a formal structure by directing the tensions and movement within the painting. This movement and direction is an expression of human development from one circle of experience through to another in progressive sequence".
