A new professional development symposium will replace our education conference Focus Fest at the beginning of Term 1 each year and will incorporate the ARTEXPRESS Teachers Day.

The Learning symposium aims to support all educators in the Visual Arts – primary, secondary, tertiary and adult educators – with fresh ideas from the world of art and education. We invite respected artists, art historians, curators and educators to respond to current issues relevant to classroom programming. Each year a new theme will be addressed – in 2012 we look at the nature of collaboration.

Art After Hours

Listen to exhibiting student artists and their teachers speak about their body of work in the exhibition space from 5.30pm and then at 6.30pm in the central court, Gretel Killeen talks to 2012 ARTEXPRESS artists about their work and aspirations.
