For Whiteley the human form was inextricably linked to life and by extension to his art. The deep primal urge of sexuality and sensuality that he felt would manifest itself in a diverse range of media and art practice, much of it inspired by his wife and muse, Wendy.

In this exhibition at the Brett Whiteley Studio in Surry Hills, the nude is seen in rarely exhibition studies; in tender paintings rendered with Whiteley`s addiction to the curve; in tactile, elongated sculptures; and in frank, explicit expressions of the most intimate moments between lovers, beautifully drawn in brush and ink, pencil and collage.
