I wanted to explore the relationship between two of society’s most influential institutions: the corporation and the church. What motivates the creation of illegitimate offspring of these institutions? Is there a solid belief in the product they are pushing or is it just a means of profiteering? This is the final frontier of the free market, the branding of faith – but is it a corporation encroaching on sacred religious ground or is it religion encroaching on sleazy corporate ground? In a world where globalisation is a prevailing force and where millions are drifting away from traditional forms of faith, these two faiths, as such, of religion and corporatisation, are becoming closer and more entwined.
