The annual Travel Draw is exclusive to Art Gallery Society members. It offers great prizes in recognition of members’ commitment to the Gallery, and above all, it helps put art on the walls.

3rd prize: Art collection

Dan Kyle studied at the National Art School, Sydney. He has been selected as a finalist in the NSW Parliament Plein Air Painting Prize (2016 – highly commended) and the Paddington Art Prize (2015 and 2012 – highly commended). His work has been featured in Artist Profile magazine in an interview with Founding Editor, Owen Craven. Kyle’s work was exhibited at Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery (2014) and he is represented by Defiance Gallery.

Sheila Posner studied art and fashion design at Walthamstow Art School, London. After graduating with a Bachelor of Education (Hons), Posner taught visual art in high schools in Western Australia. Since arriving in Sydney in 2008, Posner has been exhibiting her work at Mesh Gallery, Woollahra and in various other exhibitions. Her work is held in numerous collections in Australia, USA and UK. Posner has facilitated numerous art classes at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.

Tickets for the Art Gallery Society of NSW Travel Draw 2019 are only available to current members of the Art Gallery Society of NSW at the time of the draw. Art Gallery Society councillors, employees and their families are not permitted to enter. Entries close 5pm, Friday 8 March 2019. The draw will be managed by the Society’s auditors and will take place at the Art Gallery of New South Wales at 2pm on Thursday 21 March 2019. The winners will be publicly announced at the Art Gallery of New South Wales at 6.15pm, Wednesday 27 March 2019. Winners will be notified by telephone and email/post, and details published in the Sydney Morning Herald on Thursday 28 March 2019 and in Look magazine May/June 2019.
