size unknown

This portrait by WB McInnes of former Australian National Research Council president and chair of chemistry at the University of Melbourne, Sir David Orme Masson (1858-1937), was destroyed in the fire that engulfed Wilson Hall at the University of Melbourne in January 1952. The artist’s Archibald Prize portraits of Professor Sir Thomas Lyle (1922) and Professor Harrison Moore, which won the 1922 award, were also destroyed in the fire.
